FAQ
Questions, answered
How long does a render take?
It varies a lot, and it depends on your project rather than on us. The two things that really move it are how many stems you upload and how long the song is — every stem is analysed, identified and processed on its own chain before anything is mixed or mastered, so a 30-part arrangement is genuinely thirty times the listening. High sample-rate sources (96 kHz and up) add a conversion pass on top.
As a rough guide: mastering one finished track is about a minute. A handful of stems is a few minutes. A big multitrack of a full-length song can run to an hour or more. You'll see a live timer the whole way, and you don't have to sit and watch it — close the tab if you like, the render keeps going and the finished track is waiting in your library.
And it's worth putting that next to the alternative. The other way to get a record mixed and mastered is booking studio time or sending your parts to an engineer — days or weeks of turnaround, revision rounds over email, and a bill per song that runs into the hundreds. Waiting an hour, for a fraction of one studio day, to get a release-ready track back from a couple of clicks is a different proposition entirely. We'd rather you waited a little and got it right.
Can I remaster if I don't like it?
Yes. Re-running the same track doesn't cost another credit — tweak your stems and re-process as many times as you need until it sounds right. You're only charged once per song.
What file formats do you accept?
WAV, FLAC, AIFF, MP3, M4A, AAC and more. Upload multiple stems at once, or a single finished track for mastering or remixing. Download your result as WAV, MP3 or FLAC.
Do I own the masters?
100%. Everything Vanta produces from your audio is yours — full commercial rights, no royalties, no strings. Release it, sell it, licence it, it's your track.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — every subscription is month-to-month with no lock-in or contract. Cancel in a couple of clicks from Manage plan and you keep access until the period you've paid for ends.
What's the difference between the plans?
Master Unlimited masters your finished stereo tracks — mastering only. Studio and Studio Unlimited unlock the full pipeline: mixing from stems, mix + master, remix-from-a-song and vocal mixing. Every card above shows exactly what's included.
